I am flying YYZ->BZE (Belize) for a wedding and AC doesn't cover the entire route. However UA does through IAH. The YYZ->IAH leg is on AC Jazz metal.
I very rarely have this type of situation where I am not flying AC metal all the way, so I am a n00b on how this works.
The UA site won't let me select seats on the AC leg. Can I call AC and have them assign seats, or even get preferred seats on this? Can I use eUpgrade points on that AC leg (I assume, if so, I have to call rather than use online tools)?
Just not sure how this works.

Something similar just happened to me last week, just call United 1-800-864-8331 and tell them your issue and give them your AC ref#. also make sure you get them to give you your UA ref# that way you can change things on line on the UA web site for the portions of your trip u fly them. Good luck.
