Staying here right now,.... not really a good experience...
The staff in the lobby not nice.... i dont feel welcome here...
No free water in room, no information about platinum benefits, no upgrade ( i can live with that ), only recognition: You want the 500 points ? .....
I had to ask twice for updating the keycards to access the lounge.
The staff there is nice indeed but the selection of food/beverage is not on par with hilton/marriott lounge in frankfurt...
Marriott was sold tonight. I booked a room in Westin Franfurt again for this weekend and i'm really thinking about cancelling...
I asked the staff where i can find the Executive Lounge, he did not understand my question ( in german ) and responded with "HÄÄÄÄ ???" i asked again and he showed me the Cigar Lounge "Here".....
I'm surprised by your experience but I do remember a few of the front desk people being a little impersonal.
That said, I have little interaction with the front desk once checked in. Timo/Vanessa are great in the lounge. The lounge doesn't compare with Asia lounges but it is quite good compared to the EU and US. The lounge won't replace dinner but it's enough to get you happily through your Pils, sparkling, or other.
Which Marriott are you comparing to? Messe? I'm sorry but the WG Frankfurt is clearly superior though Champs Bar in the hotel and Jimmy's (nearby) can be fun if you've got a lot of colleagues around.
