KLM Mileage credit

I flew with my family to Europe from LAX and onwards on an intra-european flight. All of us were registered under AS ff-account but did not receive any credits for the flights. Made a complaint to Alaska Air and they said that there is no credit for intra-european flights in U-class. Our flights were as follows:

LAX - AMS U-class
AMS - intraeurope T-class
Intraeurope - AMS L class
AMS - LAX U-class

The lady at AS responded and said the following:

"Dear XX,

Thank you for contacting Alaska Airlines. KLM does not honor credit in "U"
class of service for the ticket purchase. Please visit the link below for KLM,
they list the eligible flights and classes available to earn miles.

http://www.alaskaair.com/content/mil...tners/klm.aspx
"
and the link says as follows:

"Mileage Earned: 500 miles, or actual flight miles, whichever is greater* in M, K, Q, H, L, T, N, V, X, S, or B class of service; 25% bonus for purchased Business Class in J, C, I, or Z class of service. Mileage credit must be requested within 9 months of original flight date.

To qualify for mileage accrual, flights must be marketed by KLM and must also fall within the eligible flight number range.

KLM
Eligible Flight Numbers

0001 - 1999
2000 - 2499
To ensure flight credit, the two letter airline code (KL) must precede the flight number (for example, KL XXXX) on your ticket receipt or boarding pass.

* Mileage is not earned for tickets flown in D, G, O, and W classes of service. U class tickets on Intra-Europe flights earn 25% of flight miles. Mileage credit must be requested within 9 months of original flight date."

Why do I have to fight over these small things, has anybody else been "neglected" like this?

Thanks
