My Boarding Experience at BWI...
I fly WN once or twice a month for the last couple of years for business and never had an issues with boarding. This past Monday at gate A11, was the first time I saw an agent completely lose control of the boarding process. Traveling with me were my wife and 1 yr old son and we were A49 and A50.
We got into line and things started smoothly. In front of us were a group from a fire dept where one of the guys was in line while the rest were off to the side. The guy in line had an A while his buddies were Bs and Cs. When he got to the front of line, they all jumped in line and half of them boarded before he stopped the group and kicked them out. He then stopped boarding As after that and went right to boarding families. People started showing him that there were As still in line and he said that you have to wait now for the families to board and then you can board. This got some people really angry as there 6 or 7 families that boarded plus three WN employees. During this I tried to board as I had both an A card and a young child and I was told to get back in line as the familes were waiting longer than me
He then must of forgot about the As as he tried to start boarding the Bs. This caused the remaining A mob to storm the gate and force themselves on before any of the Bs. I finally boarded after the last family and before the mob of remaining As.
In all the flights I have been on, this was the most out of control I have ever seen in a boardin process.
