Using multiple forms of payment at aa.com?
So, I'm trying to use a new citibank card for the promotional miles and $50 credit (spend $2000 in first 4 months and make one American Airlines purchase) but it has a $1000 limit. I'll be soon purchasing three fares from American Airlines but all will be over $1000 each. AA.com states that only one credit card can be used for a purchase. I'm looking for ideas on how to use this card to purchase fares in excess of $1,000. Could I purchase an American gift card with a different credit card and pay the balance owed with this new card? Any other options?
