Still figuring it out, as it's a moving target that also depends on BA F availability for both the USA-LHR and LHR-Middle East legs, and my wife's somewhat but not completely flexible vacation schedule. Likely I'll end up with DXB since we can do EK from there using Starwood points and if the EY option using AA miles (which I have more of and which might offer a better "exchange rate") opens up we can go that way. (This assumes of course award availability on either airline.) Also, even though we'll probably only spend about 24 hours each way in the transit city, I think my wife would get a kick out of quick visits to DXB.

I'll post the outcome of the Great Decision (FWIW, LOL).
