I'd suggest an Eagle Creek carry on for your requirements. I've used mine for international travel quite a bit and it puts up with all the abuse I hand out. Eagle Creek luggage also has a lifetime warranty on their products so it's definitely a long term investment. Mine has a suit folder with expandable straps too.
