True.

I can usually chose among Delta, or United, or Frontier, or American, or Continental, or JetBlue, or Southwest, or maybe even Virgin America/AirTrain/Alaska, but yes: If you're flying from, say, Ithaca to Bakersfield, you might only have 3-4 options instead of 7-10.
Why would anybody ever want to leave Ithaca for Bakersfield?
