How was the food in J lackluster? I flew BE a few times (okay, BE-lite between JFK-SFO) and the food was amazing every time, so I'm sure the true BE for international flights would be even better.

Flew TATL last week in C. It was OK but certainly not great. No flat seats, lackluster food, service and drinks, meager IFE. And the cabin was FULL.
Meanwhile Economy Comfort was two thirds empty, people there had a lot of personal space! However they were still looking enviously towards C. So I don't know, maybe the recline, as limited as it is, still makes a difference. Certainly not the food. The best option with DL is to bring one's favorite sandwich.
