I have taken this flight on a day with " really good" winds. Cut flight time to something below 2:40. Yuck.

After that experience, while I do try to get redeyes, I try to get at least 4-5 hours. Right now, I'm in BZN. My return to PVD involves the LAX-IAD redeye, though it cost a bit more money--and quite a bit more travel time--than through DEN.
