Yes I was on that flight in First as well.

Short Video Not the full incident, as the engines were going up and down many times so I was restarting the video.

I managed to protect UA863 seats for Sunday and another traveller did the same (Last Seat) while we were still on board after the aborted take off.

The Spanish version of The Big Bang Theory was rather amusing

Orginally I started in JFK for the 11am to SFO, 1st plane went mech, 2nd was mech before we could board it, next 2 flights were sold out, so I rerouted myself via IAD for UA975 on the JFK-IAD CRJ-200.

I had allowed 8 hours in SFO to connect to UA863, but United still couldn't get me there in time.

As for SFO Hotels, I missed the UA863 to Sydney that night and had to fend for myself, Hilton Garden Inn had rooms, which many of us took up, but United had known well in advance we were not going to make UA863 and should have made hotel bookings in advance.
