I don't think anybody is giving contradictory information on FT.

If you ask LH they'll tell you the FCT is not for connecting pax. You can of course walk to the FCT and they will not turn you away. However, depending on your arrival gate (possibly A non-Schengen?) the FCL A may be the most convenient and obvious choice.
