They didn't charge you for any taxes. They increased their base fares, which they are entitled to do whenever they please before you purchase the ticket (essentially).

I just did a dummy booking for travel in mid-August and, as seen below, they did not charge the federal excise tax (7.5%). I can't see how you'd be entitled to a refund of something that wasn't charged...
