From Jan/Feb edition of SAS news "You will automatically be upgraded to Gold as soon as you have made 50 trips in Business Class/full fare(?economy) on flights operated by SAS during your personal qualifying period". There are no sector qualifying possibilities for Silver nor on Thai.
