Some minor editing to the chart. I have posted segment based qualifying for all programs for which I have info as well as pluses and minuses for car rentals.
I believe that 500 miles/points per rental is generally a better deal than 50 miles/day or 1 or 2 points/$. Most car rentals are less than 10 days. Besides, you could (the insanity of it aside, and if logistics permit) switch car rental companies every day to get max. use of your 500 mile/day benefit.
Questions for my advisors:
SAS (I mean only silver) and Thai do not have segment based qualifying?
NZ Car Rentals -- under the new scheme, how many points per day and is a flight still required to earn car rental miles (presumably now any * Alliance flight and not just NZ flights)?
Thanks again everyone. Looking forward to that oneworld chart too!
