Agree that they can be problem solvers.
Also coming back from LAX we were late. The Concierge proactively approached me and asked if I wanted him to adjust my connection to WLG. As I had no baggage stayed with my tight connection, did the jog to domestic, and just made it onto the plane.
Was a nice touch that they were being proactive.
