No A/C In Room
I checked out this morning of a one night stay at a property in Detroit. Without getting into too much detail, the room I received had a problem with the air conditioning. When we checked in the room was quite warm, so naturally I put the A/C on 65* and left for a night out to the casinos and bars. Came back later in the night and the room wasn't any cooler. Called down to front desk and got a rude, short response from the desk clerk. She sent up a maintenance man who looked at the thermostat, pushed a few buttons and said he would be back in 10 minutes to see how it was going. Naturally, he never returned.
I'm not someone who normally complains, but I make a point of giving Hilton my business on nearly every trip I take. I feel that I should receive something to compensate the lack of initiative on the hotels part, as well as the uncomfortable stay. What would you all suggest as a fair compensation?
