I think I know what you are referring to. There's another way to look up rates by category and season, though it's more cumbersome. Proceed to the above link, enter a random future date and click on "check availability".

You will then see rates available for the requested dates. Click on the rate type that is underlined (e.g., Standard Rates). A pop-up will appear and then you can compare rates.

This doesn't entirely solve the problem though because the random date you enter only pulls up rates and packages that are available for that particular date. So you may need to try several dates to compare the rates for the packages you are looking for. And it only works for certain hotels (e.g., not Las Vegas).
