The company has a *A TATL contract carrier, so UA/CO seem like the best bet as flying will be 50/50 domestic/intl. I am all geared up to do the UA 1K challenge (btw 35k in 90 days = 140K in 1 year). I rather do the UA 1K challenge and have CO Platinums on CO metal ahead of me until the end of the year instead of ending up in the second highest tier next year. Anyone else here recently jumped ship and has the DL convert perspective? What's better, what's worse?
Thanks.
From my perceptive: Delta is better for domestic upgrades, Sky Club Access and most of the time employees. Where Delta really miss the out is int'l upgrades. If that is important they being a 1K is nice. I was upgraded both ways SFO to Sydney into lay flat seats about a month ago, very nice. Remember that you only get 6 a year, but I have used 4 already. Never have been able to use any on Delta. As someone who has already re-upped DM I have been working on my re-upping 1K status. Safe Travels
