There's a thread on here full of people who say AMEX told them one thing about sign-up bonuses over the phone, only to have something else happen to their account down the road. Wonder how many of those people wish they had recorded the call?
In fairness, recordings provide irrefutable proof of what you
recorded, not necessarily what happened. Start the recording a few seconds late or stop it a few seconds early and you may only get part of the story. Give it a title such as "Delta Sucks" and people watch it with a preconceived notion and then magically it fits exactly what they were expecting to see.
