Mrs The Specialist sent me a text at work in the UK to say there had been a bomb that had shaken our house. I called her back almost immediately, the building is untouched and she is safe and well. We are hoping and praying that none of our friends were caught up in this.

Could I please take a moment to thank all those on FT who know my rather unconventional marriage arrangements who sent me messages to enquire if the missus was OK.
