Rudeness, of course, is not appropriate. Then again, I tend to give the CO co-workers a bit of leeway here. After all, they've been repeatedly told by management for two decades now how great they are, so a bit of cockiness is to be expected when dealing with a workforce like that.
I hear that UA handles customer requests to accept and store packages for passengers at the check-in counter much better than CO, especially for 1K's. I hope this isn't yet another thing on the UA side to be destroyed by the merger of equals.
