I am not sure I think makes sense. These sites really make their money because of the merchant referral money. This is true with a lot of other 'deal' sites.

Now, we may agree that these sites are more aggressive in trying to capture those clicks than others, but I am not sure it matters much anymore.

Priceline now has their bid notification service which is very nice -- so either use that instead or something else.
