It's UX - which generally means a whole comedy of errors. Mainline isn't defect-free either, but there seems to be less of such shenanigans.

I do DEN-COS-DEN at least monthly, sometimes IAH-COS or ORD-COS, all on the CRJ-7. Generally the quality of the the SkyWest crews are pretty good, much better than Mesa and on generally on par with Republic. However, recent trends between COS and DEN (and it's always in that direction for some reason) reflect a decline in the forward cabin service. Admittedly it is one of the shortest flights in the network, but most crews still manage to serve a round of drinks to the 6 pax, taking orders before takeoff. Lately I've run into crews that are more interested in doing other stuff: painting one's nails, inventorying galley contents, or simply chatting with the other FA. I do this route enough to know what's possible, and what good service really is. Can't speak for the SFO leg (I go thru DEN for that, just like I avoid the RJ from IAD) but there does seem to be a decline on SkyWest. And it's not just the drinks or lack thereof - it's the attitude of some crews. Most are really great, especially the younger ones, but there are some that are just...

@ Fastair - does UX use UA GA's at SFO?
