I personally hate buffets:

1. They waste a lot of food
2. Because people think the food is 'free' there is no accountability- leads to aforementioned wastage
3. Encourages bad eating habits

As my mom says: "If you eat a lot, you feel sick afterwards. If you don't eat a lot, you feel like you haven't gotten the best value for money. You can't win."
