Actually kempis, if I was after *Gold quickly I think I'd try for the AC 35K. But there are a few other things to consider with SAS's Eurobonus:-

One is if you can get an address outside Scandinavia, the threshold for Eurobonus *Gold can be much lower. It's 55K for residents of France for example (so my French colleague tells me!). I'm not 100% sure that this is still true, but it used to be this way.

Also with SAS's European flights, status mileage awarded for Eurobonus is sometimes way over actual mileage. Like Stockholm-London where SAS awards 1200 miles for a distance that is actually 908 miles. And Stockholm-Paris, where SAS awards 1800 miles for a distance that is less than 1000 miles. All miles are doubled for business class. These 'extra' miles really add up.

Also, after each 20 business class or full fare domestic sectors, SAS gives you 5000 bonus status miles.

And finally, if you qualify for SAS Eurobonus *Gold, and you live in Sweden, SAS will pay for a combined Diner's Club/Eurobonus card for you. Now that's worth something like SEK 525:- a year, and you'll earn 150 Eurobonus miles for every SEK 1000:- you spend with the card. AND have access to all the Diners Club lounges which does come in handy sometimes.
