Totally inconsistent with our experience this past March. We had a lovely suite, and the service was excellent. As I posted above, we stayed back-to-back at the Four Seasons and the Sukhothai, and while the Four Seasons was excellent as well, we preferred the Sukhothai.
BTW, the one negative of our stay at the Sukhothai is that they appear to be doing a major renovation, and we had to walk through a constrution zone to get to our room. (Our room was so nice, we weren't going to complain.) Although we could only see renovations being done to some public spaces, I wonder if the rooms have been, or are in the process of being, renovated. Mike's description above of the suites looking "tired" is just wildly inconsistent with how we felt about our room.
