Not sure -- I think UA Insider is talking about how award flights are capacity controlled on CO (which is not true via UA). It is going UA's way -- if there's a seat available, then you can book your flight with miles. Of course, if that means that you can also get ELR or E+ seating for free, then errrrrrrrrrrrrr....
