We were stranded at the London airport once because of a storm in New York (February go figure) and had a friend with us, it was a nightmare finding a room for three adults because of the local fire codes.


So like JDriver mentioned, make sure they know in advance if it's not in the US.

If you have a choice, try to book a room at an Embassy Suites or Homewood suites. The room is larger, in addition to the beds in the bedroom the couch usually pulls out so everybody doesn't need ot be in the same room, and everybody gets breakfast.
