I had to call marriott rewards/reservations to use one of my certificates just tonight. I looked into using it to book online, but did not have luck.

The certificates should appear on your activities page. They are good for category 1-4 hotels (I believe marriott goes up to category 7). They expire on 12/31/2011.

Also, I found that they do not work for Ritz properties.
