Both good points.
But since they are going to be there no matter if we like it or not, what benefit does the passenger get from being noted as a pain in the neck? Your time is precious, as is mine, so I'm not going to waste it being slowed down because I started a fight I know I cannot win. Sounds to me like there is no upside for the passenger other than making some schmuck mad and getting the full treatment for "suspicious demeanor" or “irritating jerk” (both amount to the same really). I think I would prefer to not start that fight, I would prefer the flight.

BTW, who is trying to start a fight with TSA? I see TSOs with a very antagonistic attitude towards pax (check the TSA blog for examples). And I think any TSO who uses the famous DY...T is a coward and a bully who wants a fight, but only a rigged one.
About every other month or so, for business. So yes, I have flown several times since Oct. I have even gone through the scanner in Omaha. The folks there were both plesant and professional, but I did kind of feel sorry for the one in the booth having to view my picture. I am not quite "fit", but I get around without problems. My husband wont say it but he thinks I could stand to loose a few pounds.
There are jerks in every business out there, so I'm sure TSA has some. But its my experience that you get what you deserve, and if you are plesant to them they will be plesant to you. What does it get you being a jerk to a jerk?
