Not necessarily relevant to the OP, but in addition to everything else in the TR, I especially loved the page title (Our private 15 hour charter to HKG.)

Last September I fell down some steps in Guangzhou and broke my left hand in three places. After visiting a clinic and a hospital for X-rays, a cast, and a longer-term diagnosis, my wife and I decided to end our China visit immediately and return home to NYC. After all, if I needed to undergo surgery (which was deemed mandatory by the local Chinese physicians) I would be laid up for several weeks --- and even one of the doctors admitted that if they were in our shoes, they would probably go to Hong Kong for any surgery.

We returned to our hotel, logged onto the internet, noted two Z seats on CX the very next day from HKG to JFK, used Skype to call AA, and had the tickets booked (including a CAN - HKG flight) within 5 minutes. By the next day my hand was so swollen (fortunately one of the physicians had sawed-off my wedding band the night before) that it was impossible to help pack, carry luggage, or even buckle my pants or undo shirt buttons.

This is a very, very long intro to explaining that I am a living testimony that CX's F Suites on the 777s are wide enough that when lying down, an invalid can extend their left arm (I was in 1K) to its full extension from the shoulder and not reach the confines of the suite. [In comparison, the J coffins would have been, in that circumstance, an absolute nightmare.] Similarly, I am living testimony that CX FAs in First will do whatever is necessary to make their customers happy ---- even if they're invalids. On arrival in NYC, I gave some consideration to what it would be like to be truly invalid and require an emergency air ambulance .... and realized that such services are probably vastly inferior to CX F, and that we should therefore limit our adventure travel to places that CX flies to.

If you're feeling fine, J is more than good enough. If you're feeling at all indulgent, try CX F ---- it's as good (or better) than a private 15 hour charter.

Enjoy!
