I still have my IAD option and a new CLE option which are viable but get in an hour later than I'm used to. All in all, it's not enough to make me jump from UA to AA, Delta or US Airways which have the earlier routes but it's getting close.

I was talking to a UA pilot a few weeks ago and he mentioned they were bringing a lot of new flights through PIT with the merger but I'm just seeing less and less options so far.

I would like to know what PIT/Allegheny County did to piss off the airlines. It was only about 10-12 years ago, but I remember flying fairly frequently with my family up to my late teens and the place was banging.

As someone who hits up ORD, LAX, PIT, JFK, LGA, DEN, IAD, and BOS quite frequently I would only put DEN above PIT in terms of cleanliness, comfort, places to shop/eat, and really the overall quality of the facility. I've been to CLE a couple times and PIT is head and shoulders above that. If I was UA I would switch up. Not to mention Pittsburgh's economy is finally pulling off the overhaul from steel to tech and banking pretty well so I imagine the demand is increasing. From what it sounds in speaking to my friends that live in CLE the city is still in the process of falling into the abyss.
