You wouldn't be able to do this on AA because no OW carrier flies between Korea and mainland China. You'd need to transit through HKG via ICN-HKG-PEK on CX or KA to get between Seoul and Beijing. Pain in the butt yes, but it's the caveat of OW lacking a Korean or mainland Chinese carrier.

OTOH, you could visit Hong Kong and Macau in your trip and still well be within the OW130C award. You could even throw in TPE in there and still have lots of room to spare.

PVG-ICN(transfer)-LAX:
You wouldn't really need this, AA flies PVG-LAX direct so no need to transfer at ICN; let alone there are no OW flights that serve between China and Korea again.
