Stayed here July 2011 midweek. This looks like a 'new' HIE. Friendly staff.

I didn't notice a lobby computer, but free wi-fi is offered. Breakfast selection made up of the usual assortment. You won't go hungry.

Pretty bedroom and bathroom. Comfortable bed. Can't complain. I was surprised that Lompoc is a town of 43,000. This hotel is just up the road from the Embassy Suits (which received a marginal review on Flyertalk).

Solvang http://www.solvangusa.com/explore-solvang/what-to-do/ is about 20 minutes away. It's a Danish town, and do they play it up. If you enjoy wine tasting rooms and/or Danish pastry, you're in luck.
