We've been here a few times over the years - sometimes tourists find it, as it is a stone's throw from the cathedral of Notre Dame, but you will also find regulars eating here. It's great when you want a 2+ hour break, some good food and good-humored, warm cosseting for lunch (or dinner) while touring the vicinity.

From the street

The restaurant is in the old Canon's house built in 1512, making it one of the oldest buildings remaining in Paris, and it was sold off by the church to become a wine bar in 1723! They serve cuisine from the Aveyron in Midi-Pyrénées where the friendly and attentive Odette and Georges are from and where much of their organic produce originates, in a medieval dining setting. Not close, no Michie stars, but you will certainly enjoy the setting (Ile de la Cité / Notre Dame). See a review here.

Odette de Larochebrochard, the Chef

The 39€ Table d’hôtes surprise d’Odette (Odette's surprise) is always a delight, and add a couple of glasses of nice wine per person, you'll be out of there for just under 100€ for two - they also have a 46€ and 59€ (latter all wines and apéritif) menus, and a memorable experience. Book and read some more here. (Oh, yeah, we will be there.)
