Can't get CO to give me missing miles for pet cargo
This past Dec, I flew two pets on CO cargo. According to CO's rules, I am eligible to get miles for every mile the pets fly on cargo.
It was a big move and I was stressed and at the time of checking then in, I forgot to hand them my ff #.
Fast forward to May of this year- I finally got around to emailing CO about this. I guess I waited so long because I wasn't sure how invested I was in the One Pass prog and therefore wasn't sure it was worth chasing 13,800 miles if I'd never use them. I've always been a BA exec member but have recently decided to switch over to *A for various reasons and am trying to rack up the One Pass miles now.
I said in the email that I didn't have the paperwork for the animal cargo anymore but I gave them the date, the flight # and said I probably have credit card receipts for the cargo charges (quite a lot, let me add) if needed.
I immediately heard back from someone saying they'd look into the matter. A month goes by, no answer. I email a reminder. Still no answer.
Day before yesterday, I try to call them. They tell me I have to speak to cargo, not One Pass. So they transfer me to cargo. Cargo said the person who emailed me is not in. I asked to leave a message- she doesn't have voicemail (??). I asked if there is someone else I can speak to. They say- no. She's the supervisor. Just email her (despite me having told them that this woman is not answering my emails).
Anyway, so I email again and still no response. I'm a bit new to CO's prog and CO in general. Is this negligent behaviour normal? Should I just write off those 13,800 miles as my mistake and let by-gones be by-gones? I feel it's quite a lot and it would bump me into the next tier (Elite status- Silver I'm thinking) so it's worth a bit of effort now.
