I think it was you that twisted BA304's words as if he were saying "You must seek your doctor's advice, and trust everything he says" - your comment that it was 'awful' can only have come from assuming something like that.
I agree that comment was somewhat hyperbolic. Let's say "mediocre advice" instead.
I also think drugs are quite individual thing - temazepam does absolutely nothing for me, and zopiclon does nothing as well as giving me me a double vision the next day, yet my husband finds zopiclon much better for helping him to sleep and temazepam leaves him a little drowsy the next day. The only way I can get to sleep is if I am genuinely naturally sleepy nowadays.
The worst thing for me are those over-the-counter antihistamine things like Nytol. They don't help me get to sleep in the first place very well, but they make me incredibly drowsy the next day to the point where I can barely function - even if I take half the recommended dose on the pack, it only wears off about 12 hours after taking it. Zopiclone, valium, xanax are all fine in that respect.
Anyway, I suppose this is a futile discussion. I'm sure people here are mature enough to make up their own mind about what to take and how to get them so what we are doing is to argue rather pointlessly.
Ah, but now we're getting somewhere if you think that.
