The PDA site should be the more important, because it is much easier to use then standing around looking at a screen. I'd rather board my flight and look on my phone while sitting down, then standing, and when the upgrade doesn't clear running to board the plane.

The screen change rate on those airport monitors is slower than paint drying. I've walked up to the gate, just missing the upgrade screen, and after about 5 minutes went ahead and pulled up the list on my phone. Even then it took a long time for the list to show back up on the monitor.
