Banyan Tree has undergone renovations. I stayed at their Presidential suite recently which was reasonably priced. It was fabulous, not in an opulent way. I didn't look at the normal suites. It used to be small. I just love their service, yet to be disappointed unlike some of the favoured hotel chains here.
I stayed in the Banyan tree in Jan last year. Excellent value. We had a regular club room and it was an absolute. I looked at the presedential suite while i was there.. The room is in the top of the glass part of the hotel (you will see what i mean if you look at pics. The room is on two floors and is excellent IMO. Banyan tree is good value. Also clsoe to the markets/ parks and shopping areas. (unlike the Peninsula on the wrong side of the river)
