This is incorrect.
The problem with your statement is that in the Caron case, the Crown had the initial decision acquitting Mr. Caron reversed on appeal and the defendant was convicted of the 2003 traffic offense he was charged with.
In November 2010, Mr. Caron was granted leave to appeal his conviction.
The case continues to this day and the linguistic rights issues raised by Mr. Caron are not yet resolved, and they won't be for some time.
Also, the issues raised in Caron have very little to do with AC, WS and the OLA and the ACPPA.
