Lots of people called him names too. Regular folk and powerful men thought he was huge PITA.

One guy even said something to the effect that he was troubelsome individual who behaving as he did "in such an evident, repeated, and audacious manner, is a provocation to public order, to the administration of justice and is definitely contrary to the aims of justice."

Good thing he stood up for himself, and for others, and showed a bit of persistence. He helped make things just a little bit better for everyone.
