Not disputing that real time gate displays are useful, but they certainly wouldn't make a difference to my travel experience with the existence of the mobile site. ORD is one airport I travel through very frequently and I've maybe glanced at the CO displays there once.
the displays are indeed live, tied directly to the gate agent computer. as soon as you are cleared and onloaded, you name will disappear. you upgrade may clear in the system, but the gate agent hasnt onloaded you yet.
point is, mobile site is nce - live gate dislay is nicer. Its something CO will onvariably pick up from the ua side.
