Traveling to Bangkok

I'd like to know two things about seat 31A (exit row) on Cathay Pacific Boeing 777-300ER:

1) Is there a window in this seat, or just a wall?

2) Does the belly of the door protrude into your leg space?

I paid an extra $100 (nonrefundable) to purchase this seat. Later on I checked it out on seatguru.com and seatexpert.com and they mention that "there is no window", or that this seat has an "obstructed view".
I called Cathay Pacific, but they say there IS a window at this seat, but they cannot guarantee it, just like any other seat. I am pretty annoyed right now, and I feel ripped-off that I unnecessarily spent $100 on a seat that may be inferior to the one I originally had (40K) for free.
Does anyone has any special information on this?

FYI- I am traveling to Hong Kong (HKG) on January 14, 2012 from JFK.
