+1. Also, in my experience the UA ones are not live - I have frequently had an upgrade clear at the gate and still see myself on the standby list 5+ minutes later.
Not disputing that real time gate displays are useful, but they certainly wouldn't make a difference to my travel experience with the existence of the mobile site. ORD is one airport I travel through very frequently and I've maybe glanced at the CO displays there once.
