Companion ticket can't be booked online
Yet again the BA website is misbehaving. For 24 hours I've been trying to get a 2 for 1 Companion ticket issued online. All goes well until the final step, CC accepted, etc, then the dreaded red error message.
Now for another wasted 20 minutes explaining to a phone rep what a Companion ticket is and persuading them not to charge an extra fee.
Why, oh why, can't BA improve their website. Pathetic!
UPDATE: Eventually I spoke to BA on the Gold line. I was trying to book PHX-LHR-ARN return. The website offered only PHX-LHR, then LCY-ARN. No choice of planes leaving LHR for Stockholm. The agent told me this was the reason the website wouldn't accept the booking, even though the use of LCY was the only choice offered on the site for Companion tickets. How truly lame. The agent was able to find seats from LHR to ARN, but not apparently online!!!!!!!! Net result, I got the tickets I wanted, but wasted 45 minutes of my time and 25 minutes of the BA agent's.
