I had this Sept-Isles Quebec motel ask me 5 canadian dollar as guarantee for the key.
On leaving next morning the motel's office was closed.
We went for breakfast next doors and on returning the office was still closed.
So instead of dropping the key in their mail box I took it with me.

That's the only hotel key in my possession.
