In October just before NH joined Star, SQ officially announced that they would join Star by April 2000. (Its deputy chairman was at a news conference in Tokyo for the announcement of NH's participation in Star, along with the top officials of Star Alliance carriers. There is also a news release on this.)

Has there been any change in that policy at SQ?
