I am Flying Blue Platinum, and as such now have free bags when I fly Delta, including domestically in the US. Tomorrow I am doing just that, but when I went to check in, I discovered that my flight is actually operated by Horizon/Alaska and that I'm being asked to pay to check a bag.
Am I subject to Alaska's baggage fee or does Delta's recognition of my FB status carry over to Alaska? And if I'm covered, can somebody point me to a webpage or other source confirming the rules?

Are you flying only domestically, or are you connecting onto 'across the pond'. If strictly within North America, then you will be subject to 20 dollars a bag for your first three bags as AS does not reciprocate FB status. However if continuing onto an int'l itin with a carrier AS interlines with, bring a copy of that itinerary and that carriers bag rules as AS will follow them.
But from the sound of your statement, you will be charged the baggage fee as AS is not skyteam- it has its own entity with various partnerships with both skyteam and oneworld. Enjoy the flight
