In this case Iīd be happy to settle for "reasonable". If I can get LHR-VVR for $1k and YVR-ICN for $1k, it doesnīt make sense to me that the AC website displays $5k for LHR-YVR-ICN. The only scenario in which this makes sense is that AC wants to strongly discourage ex-EU pax to travel to Asia via NA.

I donīt expect a low fare for this kind of routing, but I would have expected a $2k+ T+ fare during off-season which allows 1-2 stopovers en-route (possibly for a $100 fee each) Basically something similar to the EU-SYD fares, just somewhat more expensive due to lower demand for this kind of routing.
